Depaul Trust
Depaul Trust is a national charity for young homeless and disadvantaged people. They adopt a practical approach to helping; giving people access to the skills they need to get a job and get their lives back on track.
At their George Street site – just around the corner from Berkeley – they run a regular 7 week, full-time course, covering basic IT and driving skills as well as employability and personal empowerment training. It’s a successful format and one the charity would like to roll out around the country. So Berkeley is working with Depaul staff to develop their expansion plans, create training and marketing materials for the new courses and find different and sustainable sources of funding.
